Getting started

Sending a data stream from SQL Server CDC to Decodable is accomplished in two stages, first by populating an Amazon Kinesis stream with SQL Server CDC data, and then by adding and configuring a Kinesis source connector in Decodable.

Create Kinesis data source

To capture a data change stream from SQL Server, a Debezium server is created with an SQL Server CDC connector, which populates an Amazon Kinesis stream.

  1. Set up SQL Server

  2. Enable CDC in MSSQL

  3. Create a Kinesis Stream in AWS

  4. Download Debezium server

  5. Download SQL Server JDBC Driver

  6. Edit the conf/
